More Questions
So... In chapter 40, Magwitch says"Blast you every one, from the judge in his wig to the colonist a-stirring up the dust, I'll show a better gentleman than the whole kit on you put together!" Well, I know the judge and the colonists he was talking about was from his trial and all that, but I don't understand how that fits in with showing a better gentleman... I think in this quote Magwitch was referring to himself to the judges when he was talking about gentlemen. he was saying that he, someone who is not a very good gentlemen, would make someone who is and prove it to them.
